Dad Tips from 9 Dads

Updated: Jun 27, 2020

"Snacks, snacks, snacks. If you have snacks, you can always finish your beer"

For Father's Day, the crew brought on 7 dads from across the country to discuss all things DAD! They answered 4 simple questions: whats the best thing about being a dad, what's the hardest thing about being a dad, 1 dad tip and 1 gadget or item that was a life savior.

So, we decided to take some of those dad tips, stick them on this blog and share it to you all. Quick disclaimer, not all dad tips fit all dads but they did help these dads. If you want to check out the episode, tap this link and give the full episode a listen. It was pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

And one last thing, I'm not a dad but I have a baby boy coming soon, so trust me, I'll be using these! #hardfacts

DAD TIPS

Keep your purpose in mind, you are raising a human being, think about the bigger picture.

Get your self a baby carrier. Little tasks around the house will save your life and back.

Snacks, snacks, snacks. If you have snacks where ever you go, including at a brewery like Fishweir Brewery, you can always finish your beer.

Get your kids hyped. Even if its for spaghetti, sing a song, get excitement in the air and rage out on that dinner night!

Wait till you have kids and they have kids before telling them all the dumb shit you’ve done. No one wants to hear their kids tell them "but you did it".

Baby dad tip; if fussy, you swirl the top of the head in a circle fashion and it’ll knock them out. This is for the fed and not sick baby.

Get up when your wife gets up and help the wife. Even if you have nothing to do, it goes a long way for the wife.

Don't scream Tarzan and beat on your chest after your son is born or you might get arrested...

LIVE SAVING ITEMS

A notebook to map out your next day and schedule.

Baby Shusher.

Baby headphones.

Bubbles. (the simple things in life)

Valium. (some days are tougher than others)

Baby Monitor w/music.
