Divisional Weekend: Eight Continue on the Desert Road

A crazy start to the NFL Playoffs last weekend saw 5 of the 7 games be decided by 7 points or less. A couple blowouts and one of the largest comebacks in NFL postseason history gave us quite the exciting weekend and almost killed myself and Jose. Sorry to Chaser as the Dolphins fought hard but came up short. We are down to the final eight as I give you my quick thoughts/predictions.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs (Saturday 4:30 p.m. on NBC)

The Jags not only nearly gave 40% of this podcast a heart attack, they also gave Jose the best birthday present ever. They pulled up the third largest comeback in NFL post season history. They trailed 27-0 in the second quarter and came back to win 31-30 with a last minute FG to knock out the Chargers. They continue this hot streak and take their six game winning streak to KC where they lost 27-17 back in November. I picked us to beat them last time and I'm doing it again. Jags upset the Chiefs 28-27.

Crew Picks: Jags: Chris/Jose Chiefs: Chase

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles (Saturday 8:15 p.m. on FOX)

These NFC East rivals square off for the third time this year. The Eagles swept the season series but the Giants looked good in their upset win over the Vikings. If Daniel Jones and Saquon play like last week, they could have a good chance to upset the top seed in the NFC. Hurts was injured but he should be good to go and Lincoln Financial Field will be rocking for a night game. Eagles win 31-21.

Crew Picks: Eagles Chris/Chase Giants: Jose

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills (Sunday 3 p.m. on CBS)

Burrow vs. Allen. I expect this one to be a shootout. These two were supposed to play back on January 2nd but the game was cancelled after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. I see this one coming down to the final minutes. Both teams had close wildcard games and expect this to be a nervous one for both fanbases. I have a feeling Chase and Diggs could have multiple TDs. Bills win 38-35.

Crew Picks: Bengals: Chase Bills: Chris/Jose

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers (6:30 p.m. on FOX)

A rematch of last year's wildcard matchup when the 49ers knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs. Cowboys finally got a road playoff win for the first time in 30 years last week. 49ers look solid and they will need Purdy to come out strong against a good Cowboys defense. Dak was very impressive last week but I'm curious to see how he does against this stout 49ers defense. Gonna be a good one. 49ers win 24-21.

Crew Picks: 49ers: Chase/Chris/Jose

I have the Jags, Eagles, Bills and 49ers advancing to championship weekend. Yeah there is some bias in one of those picks but the Jags are hot right now. They don't need to go down 20+ to the Chiefs. I don't anticipate any blowouts but I could see the Eagles winning the most comfortably. Let me know in the comments who you think will win these games. Cheers for football!
